Merry X'Mas & Happy New Year 2013

Namah Shivaya Dear and Blessed ones!

Had been off for sometime now as life kept me busy with many things but never-the-less had been missing this personal space of sharing little things and being in touch with so many friends through this blog. It has always been a great privilege and great pleasure to share so much about the sparks of divinity and about the love and compassion of our Guru.

Will make an attempt to put some time in here and stay connected. The year 2012 has been great in many ways - winning, laughing, crying, rejoicing, fearing, loving, etc, etc but the ultimatum realized in everything is the lesson hidden behind everything to help us grow and evolve, as our Babaji always taught us. Learning from 2012, and creating a successful strong human chain for the ascension period of December 2012, now let us look forward to make a great 2013, in every little way we can. Hope to catch up soon. Stay blessed.

Season's best compliments and greetings to you and your loved ones!
Namah Shivaya!

These wallpapers were created specially for children.
Please share it with them. They will love and connect immediately with it :)

Baba ji's Navratra Message

by Shiv Yog Foundation (facebook)

True knowledge of the Infinite and wisdom of the Absolute can only be received by the Guru, and for the disciple to get that, he must bow at the Guru’s holy feet. It is comparable with a stream of water which flows from top to bottom. Thus, only when you are ready to receive can you be given what you deserve.

The sacrosanct Durga saptshati is neither a ‘Puran’ nor a ‘Shastra’. It is the direct grace of goddess Bhagvati. it is the seed (base) of all Vedas . And for the Devi Upasaks, Ma has given this power and this knowledge in the form of Durga Saptshati. Since times immemorial, it has been said that this knowledge is locked (keelit gyan).  People think the power of the mantra is locked. Both the affirmations are correct in their own right but the actual truth is that in it lie, in a veil of secrecy, the secrets of Devi  and the secrets of the whole universe . And till the time someone does not meditate on Devi,  these  secrets remain hidden.

Having said that, the power to unlock the infinite secrets of Durga Saptshati  is vested only in the divine troika of Ma Kali, Ma Saraswati and Ma Lakshmi.
The sadhak by remaining connected to the goddess and undertaking a sustained effort to follow in his Guru’s footsteps becomes eventually successful in pacifying the Shakti. And when the goddess is made happy,  She showers unbridled grace on the sadhak .

The nine days of Navratras are the most crucial for a Devi sadhak.  Nine is the ultimate number after which there is “Parbrahm”.

A sincere sadhak, meditating the whole year, day in and day out is given the chance to attain this Parbrahm (final ascension) in these 9 days. These nine days of contemplation encompass the sadhna of the Nau durga (nine forms of Godess Durga).

||प्रथमम शैलपुत्री च……

……….नौमम सीधीदात्री च ||

Prathamam Shailputri cha

Naumam sidhi datri cha

(She who gives enlightenment)

Each of the nine days constitutes the sadhna of one goddess. As we pray, ascension occurs in ourselves.

Rational and scientific minds believe themselves to be a reservoir of knowledge. There is no lack of “knowledgeable” people in the world.  It is interesting to note however that everybody has the outer knowledge and ironically they proclaim themselves to be literates or gyani. In reality, this make belief knowledge and definition of literacy is just an illusion. The real knowledge is attained when the person surrenders to the Divine Mother. It is then only that the outer and the inner knowledge awakens.

That’s what Maharshi Sumedha explained in Durga Saptshati. The truism that the whole world is in a perpetual  state of sleep and everyone is  just dreaming. Everybody is under the influence of maya (play of the senses) of Bhagvati Yogmaya . The inner knowledge is missing in all. Only the outer expression , the inanimate knowledge is what  everybody is having .

Saptshati narrates the tale of a king who lost his kingdom and a rich merchant who was thrown out of his house by his wife and son. They both were experiencing the peak of sorrow. This  is symbolic of the fact that anybody who loses things becomes sad. The reality is that this pain and sorrow is the outcome of outer knowledge with the inner knowledge clearly missing .

But how the inner knowledge would awaken? Sumedha Maharshi  said, “Anybody who surrenders to the Mother begins his/her their inner journey .”

Then he taught the duo, secrets of Durga Saptshati and as they were learning, their level of consciousness kept on growing.

The first day of Navratras is the sadhna of the Mooladhar . The presiding goddess of the day being Ma ShaIlputri. The second day ruled by Ma Brahmcharini includes the sadhna of Swaddhistan, The third day is the sadhna of Manipura. The ruling Goddess is  Ma Chandraghanta. The fourth day is the sadhna of Anahta.  Ma khusmanda is the presiding Goddess for the day.  The fifth day of Ma Skandmata is the sadhna of Vishudhi . The sixth day is the sadhna of ajna. Day is governed by Ma Katyani , (Ma Katyani is the form of Mahishasurmardini  who has 3 forms—18 handed 16 handed or 10 handed.  Ma Katyani is the ten handed form.

Every age saw the birth of Mahishasur and it was this Shaktis which killed the demons.

The seventh day of the Navratras is the most important one too. We call it the Saptami.  Kalratri sadhna of the Sahastrasar chakra is done on this day. The eighth day is the sadhna of Maha gauri ,the sadhna of Higher Consciousness merging into Absolute Shiva. Lastly, Navmi is the sadhna of the attainment of the supreme Godesss Siddhidatri .

Doing Shakti sadhna is thus the outer knowledge being replaced by the inner knowledge. And the Truth is the inner knowledge. The king had the outer knowledge of his lost kingdom, his palace and his wealth, hence he was suffering. The merchant had the outer knowledge of his family, his wealth. Even after being thrown out he was attached to the family, the illusion.

And when Sumedha Maharshi gave this wisdom of the Durga Saptshati ,he taught them the sacred Shivyog Shakti sadhna and this is what unfolds when you do Shakti sadhna -- the awakened inner knowledge turns into Wisdom , the Wisdom in turn turns into God Consciousness which is the state of Aham Bramasami.

And that’s what they both understood through the grace of their Guru. The king got his kingdom back and the rich merchant attained self realization as desired by him . So what Saptshati indicates is that no matter what misery a person is in, if he moves on the path of Shiv Yog shakti sadhna, which Babaji is teaching, he/she can easily break all the karmic barriers and attain the ultimate success -- the success of God realization .

We all are very blessed that Baba ji is unfolding Durga Saptshati. In other words, it means he is unveiling the secrets of Shakti sadhna.
At the same time, Baba ji is teaching us the most sacred Beej mantras of Chandi path in which every shloka is full of Shakti and the source of all the Shakti in the shloka  is the Beej mantra .The shakti is hidden in a whopping 700 beej mantras of the complete Durga Saptashati !

The shakti sadhna has to be through initiation ie Guru diksha  and the provision for this great deeksha our loving Guru has already created . The shaktipat is given by:

  • Touching the worthy disciple
  • The eyes of the Guru
  • The voice
  • The Sankalp Shakti
All the sadhaks are receiving the Shaktipat of Durga Sapthshati from Baba ji through voice and sankalpa.
You are the chosen one. You are the one selected by the universe to ascend. That’s why you are chosen to receive the most divine and sacred initiation.
Please make use of these Navratras. Change your life and it can be vouched for that during these nine days, divine miracles are bound to happen in your life. Let the grace of Shiva and the Guru be showered in your life which will be amd should be full of pure intentions, full of pure divinity and full of the cosmic light.

Divinity loves you. The universe wants the best for you.

Hence, this Navratras every Shiv yog sadhak must:

  • Connect to the Goddess to achieve this infinite grace.
  • Have Satvik bhojan (try to have as much raw food as possible )
  • Practice the Saptshati taught by Baba ji in the morning and evening. This will open the gateway of great prosperity abundance and health in your life.
  • Connect to the One who loves him the most -- his Guru by chanting the following mantra 11 times before and after the Saptashati path:
‘om  jum sa baba anahat chakra pallaya pallaya sa jum om’
|| ऊँ जूम सः बाबा आनाहत चक्र पालय पालय सः जूम ऊँ ||

Experience the great healing and bliss that will begin to flow.

Lots of blessings from Babaji and Ma

Vigna Vinashak (Song)

Long after the wallpaper was made, however, the song played a peppy rhythm in mind and i could find myself swaying within to the rhythm of this song. Whenever i looked at this image, the song played and i couldn't help but express it in the best way i can express my love for Baba - with music. Thus, this song was born. Initially, thought there is only one line hence it would be short, but then during the making, the pulse of the song become more intense when i tried increasing the tempo from the normal tempo of 95 to 110, then tried increasing to 115 and it became more intense. Wanting more speed with this fantastic rhythm, i increased it to 130 speed and it was a amazing rhythm. At this speed, i thought to add the local kind of street drums towards the end of the song that adds flavor especially to a song of Ganesha and thus with this flavor it would be hard to resist getting up and dancing :) (let me know if you and that is what was planned with this number.... to dance out the stress.... as a wonderful source of negativity shedding... to the mantra of Lord Ganesha, the destroyer of all obstacles. So, you would find this music gradually starting on a low rhythm and gradually catching up to a very fast rhythm in the end. The last 5 minutes is my most favorite and i enjoyed dancing and drumming it to sweat :)

Tried many voice inputs of Babaji to match the fervor of Lord Ganesha, but they were either unclear or had too much of background disturbances, but you know what... Babaji gave an idea during the make and his voice was indeed able to be used and it has made complete justice to this song. Hope you enjoy it whole heartedly, for it was whole heartedly made for Babaji.... with Babaji... by Babaji :) Namah shivaya..

There are few notes on Ganesh Mantras/Slokas that you may find beneficial. One Mantra and One slokha has been used in the above song.

The below entire info is taken from the different sources, the links of which are stated in the end of this article. Stay blessed. Namah shivaya.

Ganesha mantras are siddhi mantras . Each mantra contains certain specific powers of Lord Ganesha. When chanted with the proper pranayama (rhythmic breathing) and sincere devotion, they will yield good results. In general, Ganesha mantras will ward off all evil and bless the devotee with abundance, prudence and success. Evil spirits dare not enter the home or the mind of the devotee where Ganesha mantras are recited. Those so mystically inclined and knowledgeable of the seven chakras below the muladhara use these powerful incantations under the direction of the guru to close off these regions of the mind one by one and free consciousness from deep depression, confusion, jealousy, rage, lingering anger and fear. Some such mantras are given below for the spiritual benefit of the readers.

Important Note
One more point to remember is that one should bathe or wash the limbs before sitting for repetition of the mantra. Also, one should do three or more pranayama before beginning the mantra. The minimum repetition of the mantra should be one full mala, or 108 times. When this is done at a fixed hour and place regularly for 48 days, it becomes an upasana, which means intense meditation, that will yield siddhis, or spiritual powers. Another warning to bear in mind is that one should use those powers only for healing the sick and other such selfless actions for the benefit of mankind. These powers should not be misused. Misuse of power may bring the curse of the asuras.

One always starts any prayer, ritual and/or occasion by worshiping our Beloved Elephant God. One of the famous mantras dedicated to Ganpati follows:

"Vakratunda Mahaakaaya Suryakotee Sama Prabha
Nirvighnam kuru mey Deva, Sarva kaaryeshu Sarvadaa"
curved trunk
large bodied
Surya kotee
million suns
Sama Prabha
with the brilliance of
free of obstacles
Sarva Kaaryeshu
in all work
O Lord Ganesha of Large body, curved trunk, with the brilliance of a million suns, please make all my work free of obstacles, always.

"Aum gam ganapataye namah"
This is a mantra from Ganapati Upanishad. One may always use it before beginning a journey, a new course in school, new career or job, or before entering into any new contract or business so that impediments are removed and your endeavor may be crowned with success.

Aum shri ganeshaya namah
This mantra is usually taught to children for their good education. It increases their memory power, and they become successful in their examinations. Of course, people of any age may use this mantra when taking courses in a school or university, and for success in attaining their degree.

Aum vakratundaya hum
This is a very powerful mantra, as discussed in the Ganesha Purana. When something is not working properly, individually or universally, nationally or internationally, or when the minds of the people turn crooked, negative, depressed or discouraged, the attention of Ganesha may be drawn by this mantra to straighten their ways. The HUM symbolizes "Delay no more, my Lord, in straightening the paths of the crooked-minded ones." This mantra is used many times in the Ganesha Purana to curb the atrocities of cruel demons. In addition, this mantra could also be used for healing any spinal deficiency, such as curvature of the spine or curved limbs. Dedicate 1,008 repetitions of this holy word to straighten and heal such deficiencies.

Aum kshipra prasadaya namah
Kshipra means instantaneous. If some danger or negative energy is coming your way and you don't know how to get rid of that trouble, with true devotion, practice this mantra for quick blessing and purification of one's aura.

Aum shrim hrim klim glaum gam
ganapataye vara varada sarva
janamme vashamanaya svaha
There are several bija (seed) mantras in this mantra . Among other things, it signals, "Shower Your blessings, O Lord. I offer my ego as an oblation."

Aum sumukhaya namah
This mantra has a lot of meaning, but to make it simple, it means you will be always very beautiful in soul, in spirit, in face, everything. By meditating on this mantra, very pleasing manners and a beauty comes on you. Along with that comes peace, which constantly dances in your eyes; and the words you speak are all filled with that power of love.

Aum ekadantaya namah
Ekadanta refers to one tusk in the elephant face, which means God broke the duality and made you to have a one-pointed mind. Whoever has that oneness of mind and single-minded devotion will achieve everything.

Aum kapilaya namah
Kapila (red) means that you are able to give color therapy. You are able to create colors around yourself and around others, bathe them in that color and heal them. As per the mantra you create, so will you create the colors. Another meaning is "wish cow," the "cow of plenty." It means that whatever you wish, that comes true. There is a wish-cow inside you. Whatever you wish, especially for healing others, comes true immediately.

Aum gajakarnikaya namah
The ears of Ganesha, the elephant, are constant fanning, which means people may talk a lot, but you are not receiving inside anything other than that which is important. It also means that you can sit anywhere and tune this cosmic television (the body) with seven channels (chakras) and all 72,000 nadis, to any loka and be able to hear ancestors, angels, the voice of God or the voice of prophets. That kind of inner ear you will develop through this mantra.

Aum lambodaraya namah
This means you feel that you are this universe. It means that all the universes are within you. Like an entire tree is in the seed, the whole universe is in the sound of creation, which is Aum, and that Aum consciousness in you makes you feel that you are the universe. Therefore, if you say, realizing the oneness with the universe, "shanti to the world" every day, then the grace of God will come and there will be world peace, universal peace. It is the universes within Aum and Aum within you.

Aum vikataya namah
This means realizing this world as a dream or a drama. When you are in that high consciousness, this whole world looks like a dream. All of us have taken a role. We have to play our role in life as wife or husband or children or citizens, all consistent with the role we have taken. When an actor bitten by a sponge cobra that is brought on the stage falls, the entire audience cries; but that boy who has fallen knows it was not a real cobra and he is not dead. Life is a drama -- definitely life in this material world, this physical world of ego, is a drama. But inside, like the boy on the stage who is quite happy knowing that he didn't die by the bite of the sponge cobra, like that, the truth never dies in us; it is immortal. So everything else you consider as drama. That consciousness comes to you by knowing this mantra.

Aum vighna nashanaya namah
This mantra invokes the Lord Ganesha to remove every impediment in your life and in your works. By constant meditation on this mantra, all obstacles and blocked energy in your physical and astral bodies are released.

Aum vinayakaya namah
Vinayaka is the name of Ganesha in the golden age. So by realizing this mantra, your life will have a golden age. In your office, in your work, you'll be the boss. Vinayaka means something under control. Vinayaka means the Lord of problems.

Aum ganadhyakshaya namah
This mantra is so important. Suppose you have a group, a country, neighbors, or any kind of group therapy, group healing or a whole country needing healing, then you have to bring that entire group to your mind's arena and say this mantra. A group healing takes place by this mantra.

Aum bhalachandraya namah
In Sanskrit, bhala means the forehead center. Chandra means the crescent moon. Bhalachandra means that chakra from where the nectar drips. That is the secret of all healing. It is to feel yourself as Siva, identifying yourself with the Truth and feeling constantly that you are carrying the crescent moon, the symbol of growth and nectar and peace.

I bow to Gajānana, Whose lotus-feet destroy the obstacles, Who is served by the Gaṇa of Śiva, Who eats delicious rose-apple and mangoes, Who is the son of Umā (Pārvatī), and Who is the destroyer of grief and obstacles.||1||

Message from Babaji

Message from Official Blog -
Babaji to be in deep sadhana for benefit of all Shiv Yog sadhaks

Babaji is going to be in His deep sadhana in seclusion, which is for the benefit and deep healing of all Shiv Yog sadhaks. As Babaji said, this would be the best time to learn to connect with Him subtly rather than physical because this is what he essentially wants to teach every sadhak to do in this great period of ascension. Babaji has been working hard for the past two years for human upliftment and now He wishes to assist those wishing to ascend in the subtler dimensions. Babaji will be praying for very deep healing of all sadhaks but wishes that all now begin practicing now in depth the basics of Shiv Yog teachings that has been the foundation of all His shivirs. This is a great move and a great opportunity for sadhaks who are moving on the path of Shiv Yog.

Clutches of Maya

This beautiful story between a Guru and his disciple, explains Maya in a very straight and simple way. Sharing it here since it reminds of Babaji speaking about it in some shivir. Namah Shivaya.

There was once a disciple of a Guru who went to his Guru and said, "Guruji, I want to live a spiritual life. I want to live in the service of God. I want to go beyond the binding chains of this mundane, materialistic world. But, I feel that I am not quite ready. My desires for a family, for wealth and enjoyment are still too strong. Grant me some time to fulfill these wishes and then I will come to your holy feet”

So the Guru said, "No problem, my child. Go. Get married, have a family and earn wealth. In ten years I will come back for you. My blessings are with you."
With the blessings of his Guru, the man went out and quickly found a beautiful girl to marry. They had 3 beautiful children, and the man become financially successful.

After 10 years, there was a knock on the door of their home. The man's wife opened it to see a haggard-looking beggar standing on the doorstep. The beggar asked to see her husband. At first she started scolding the beggar, thinking that he was just there to beg for money. But, the husband realized that the beggar was his Guru so he lovingly invited him inside.

"I have come to take you away from this world of illusions now that you have fulfilled your desire of having a wife, family and earnings. Come with me, my son, let me show you the way to God."But, the man looked at his Guru pitifully and he said, "Dear, Beloved, Guru. Yes, you are right. You have given me my 10 years ever so generously and with your blessings I have prospered. But, my children are very young and my wife is again with child. She would not be able to handle the burden of all of them alone. Allow me to stay another ten years until the children are old enough to care for themselves."
A true Guru will guide you to the path, show you the light and help when help is requested, but will never force a disciple -- against the disciple's will -- to follow any particular path. Thus, the man's Guru compassionately agreed, saying, "So be it, my son. Stay another 10 years until you feel that your mission is fulfilled."

Ten years later, the Guru returned to the home to find a large bull-dog out front guarding the house. Immediately he recognized his disciple in the dog and saw --with his divine vision -- that the man had passed away several years prior but, due to his intense protectiveness over his family and wealth, he had reincarnated as a guard dog.
The Guru put his hand on the dog's head and said, "My child, now that you have regressed from a human to a dog due to your attachment to these worldly things, are you finally ready to come with me?"

The dog licked the hand of his Guru lovingly and said, "My beloved Guruji. You are right that it is my own attachment which has driven me to take birth as a dog, but you see my children have many enemies who are envious of their wealth and power. These enemies are very dangerous to my children and I must stay here to protect them. However, I am sure that within a few years everything will sort itself out and they will be fine. Give me just seven more years to protect them, then I am yours."

The Guru left and returned 7 years later. This time, there was no dog out front and the home was filled with grandchildren running around. The Guru closed his eyes and saw with his divine vision that his disciple had taken birth in the form of a cobra, wedged into the wall near the family safe to guard the money. He called the grandchildren of the house: "My children," he said. "In the wall to the right of your safe, there is a cobra curled up in a small nook. Go there and bring the cobra to me. Do not kill it. It will not harm you, I promise. But, just break its back with a stick and then bring it to me."

The children were incredulous, but went to the wall where the old man had directed them. Incredibly they saw that -- just as the Guru had said -- a cobra was curled up in the wall. Following his orders, they broke the cobra's back and carried it outside to the Guru. The Guru thanked the children, threw the cobra over his neck and left.

As he walked away carrying the cobra over his neck, the Guru spoke to the cobra, injured and aching: "My child, I am sorry for hurting you, but there was no other way. Twenty seven years and three births ago you left to taste the material world of sensual pleasures. But the ways of Maya are so alluring and so subtle that they trap us instantly. You have wasted these lifetimes in the futile pursuit of material success and in attachment to people who also are only actors in the Cosmic Drama.

My child, all here is Maya - Cosmic Illusion. It lures us into its trap, convincing us that it is real, permanent, everlasting and significant. But, in reality, the only thing which is real is Him, and the only true purpose of life is to get close to Him. These attachments merely divert our attention and focus away from the true purpose of life. I had no choice but to come to your rescue as I saw you sinking deeper and deeper into the deep clutches of Maya."

So frequently in life we think, "Just one more year" then I will cut back on my luxuries and cut back on my time at the office. "Just one more year".

But, that "one more year" never comes. Our intentions are good. We want to be more spiritual. We want to devote more time to spiritual pursuits. We want to spend less, need less and serve more. We want to be the master over our lust, anger and greed rather than vice versa. But, the power of Maya is stronger than the power of our will. Thus, we continue to find excuses for why we must continue to work 50 or 60 hour work-weeks, why we still have no time for chanting, why we can't squeeze a visit to the holy places of India into our year's planning, and why we must continue to satiate our insatiable sensual urges.

The only way to break free from the veil of illusion that Maya wraps around our minds is to surrender to God and beg Him to show us the true light. The only way to break free is to make AND STICK TO concrete vows of how we are going to be better people next year.

Rather than saying "I will find time to chant" we must say "I will not leave for work without sitting in meditation and I will not sleep at night without doing my nightly introspection."

Rather than say, "I will try to cut back on my expenses so that my financial needs are less," we must say, "I will not buy another jacket or pair of shoes [or anything] until the ones that I have are broken, torn or no longer fit me."

Rather than say, "I will try to overcome my anger, lust and greed," we must commit to having daily appointments with God in which we introspect on all the times we allowed ourselves to be overpowered by these emotions and we must pray for strength, DAILY, to be remain calm, peaceful and sattvic in our lives."

If we wait for the right time, that time will never come. The only time is now.
May the Divine bless us all with the clarity of vision to realize that the external world is Maya and with the strength, fortitude and dedication to remove the veil and attain the Divine Truth.

Special Messages for Guru Purnima 2012

Namah Shivaya,

These are extracts from the recent Gurgaon Durga Saptashati shivir, in which Babaji gave out the messages for all sadhaks as messages for Guru Purnima. Namah Shivaya

Guru Purnima Message from Ishan bhaiya

Significance of full moon day that is Guru Poornima

The full moon day, Guru Poornima in particular is observed as a very auspicious day. it emits lot of divine energy. On this sacred day of Guru Poornima , we can activate our Sixth element called Guru Tatva by tapping the energy emitted by the universe, which in turn assists us to regulate the other five elements.

What is Guru Poornima ?

On this day, all spiritual devotees worship their gurus. Spiritual seekers meditate throughout the day to intensify their sadhana. The shakti or energy of the Guru are at its peak on this day. A sadhak who can connect himself to his Guru’s power can receive the grace to awaken the sixth sense. Sixth sense gives direction to his life.

The Role of the Guru

Guru guides us to experience the consciousness of the Reality.

ध्यान मूलम गुरुर्मुर्ति, पूजा मूलम गुरु पदम!

मंत्र मूलम गुरु वाक़्यं मोक्ष मूलम गुरु कृपा!!

To alight a fire within the self is a very arduous and cumbersome task, but with the grace of the Guru one can easily light the diya or "awaken the consciousness" with the divine light of the Guru as per the following saying

सदगुरु ज्योत से ज्योत जगाओ

So, when we bow to the Guru , He helps us to remove our Sanchit karmas (accumulated negative emotions and impressions from the past) and introduces us to the infinite power. GURU descends on the Earth with the agenda to help the mankind. A Guru is an "awakened being" who has received the shakti from an enlightened soul ,giving the same to the worthy disciples.

Every human has come on this planet to learn a lesson and to achieve a purpose in life . there are two ways to achieve it, one is quite easy under the lamp of Gurukripa and the other the hard way to go it alone. Even in dyan bandhu upnishad it is written that a spark can burn the sanchit karmas accumulated over our hundred of past lives, these karmas are the only reason of all the sorrows, diseases and scarcity. The Guru carries that spark, that shakti which is sufficient enough to destroy the baggage of karmas and thus helps us achieve the level of purity of our inner self , to experience the inner peace which is called awareness . With this awareness we can impart the knowledge to materialise our happiness in ANY way we aspire.

On the sacred day of Guru Poonima , we can easily receive the Prachand Shakti (envigorated energy) of the Guru as Guru becomes very generous when we establish union with the ultimate infinite’ Shiva’. Guru opens his Anahat chakra and blesses all the humankind with unconditional love.

You can receive his grace with SADHANA, SEVA and SANKIRTAN.

So to raise your conciousness to higher spiritual level and to materialise your wishes , chant the following mantra:

ओउम नमो: भगवते शिवानंदाया
“ Aum Namoh Bhagvatey Shivanandaya“

Chant this mantra throughout the day, live in that aura by chanting the mantra for one hour followed by half an hour meditation and again chant the mantra.

More the devotion you have, more you feel his aura and more is the grace you recieve. It will be all the more beneficial if you do the collective dhyan with the invokation of Shiva and with the invokation of the Guru by lighting a dia. Go to the nearest ashram if you can because that is where the Shakti of Gurus would be maximum, otherwise do the meditation in groups of 51, 108, 1008.

Namah Shivay

Blessings from Babaji n Maa.

Guru Purnima 2012

The auspicious day of Guru Purnima is celebrated by all disciples with utmost reverence for their Guru. The Guru, who comes into a seeker's life after multitude of merits accumulated by one. A Guru comes into one's life when it is high time for life to take the transformative change, a change that can lead one to liberation from the cycle of birth and death.

The syllable "gu" means shadows. The syllable "ru", he who disperses them,
Because of the power to disperse darkness
the guru is thus named.

Such significant and invaluable is the coming of a true Guru into one's life that there is nothing with which the Guru can be repaid with. In the Upanishads there are five signs mentioned of a satguru (true guru):
  1. In the presence of the satguru. Knowledge flourishes (Gyana raksha)
  2. Sorrow diminishes (Dukha kshaya)
  3. Joy wells up without any reason (Sukha aavirbhava)
  4. Abundance dawns (Samriddhi)
  5. All talents manifest (Sarva samvardhan).
It is important to find a true Guru and once found, surrender totally to him, come what may. Lord Krishna says to Arjuna, "Acquire the transcendental knowledge from a Self-realized master by humble reverence, by sincere inquiry, and by service. The wise ones who have realized the Truth will impart the Knowledge to you. (Bhagavad Gita) A true Guru dedicates his life selflessly for the upliftment of such dedicated seekers and the most blessed are those disciples are those who treat the Guru's words and commands as "param vaakyam" (final words).  Guru Bhakti, which means devotion to the guru is a very important aspect in the Guru-Disciple relationship.

Guru Purnima is the day when a disciple gets an opportunity to express gratitude for all the beautiful changes and grace that He has brought into one's life and circumstances." Guru Purnima means the full moon without any defect.  Here, moon means the mind, which when completely perfect shine it;s light. Moon is nothing but mind. When mind is completely perfect, it sheds light. Gurupumima is not performed by circumambulation and offerings to the Guru. What is the real offering? It is the offering of one's love. The Guru Purnima falls in the month of Aashad, in July. This year it falls on July 2nd, 2012.

This day was originally celebrated as Vyasa Purnima. Rishi Veda Vyas, the author of Mahabharata, was born on this day and he is considered to be the highest guru in the Indian tradition.

Babaji on the eve of Guru Purnima addressed seekers and disciples in DLF ashram on July 2nd, 2012 and was with everyone for about two hours before He was to leave to Mumbai to celebrate Guru Purnima there today, 5 p.m. onwards. On July 3rd, the actual day of Guru Purnima Babaji would be amongst seekers and disciples at Surat from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m.

Babaji's message today was to do sadhana as taught by the guru everyday and asked this to be treated as Guru Dakshina to the Guru. He mentioned that once the disciple joins with the Guru, then it is the Guru who will liberate the disciple, but for that a disciple will have to strengthen the bond because if one loosens the grip on the Guru then one can drift away in Bhavsagar, ocean of illusion. And that is why sadhana hour is very important on a daily basis, which is the time that should be surrendered to the Guru and God within and this Babaji asked as be dedicated to him as Guru Dakshina (offering as gratitude to the Guru).

Babaji said, "The sadhak who walks on the path shown by the Guru and does daily sadhana, then he/she does not have to worry as all his/her work will be done by the Guru." He added, "This is where your test is. Someone will say something, someone will take you somewhere... you have to say, "I will not allow the grip on your truth to be loosened; I am going to increase whatever from whatever I have already received." Babaji said that this is what happens during amrit manthan in scriptures (churning) that the Guru does within the sadhak, all the paapa (sins) of the past surfaces up as the deadly poisons, but the Guru takes away the poison thus saving the sadhak from undergoing its miseries. Thus He asked not to get stuck in this process, nor get stuck in the wordly success that will follow, not get stuck in the ego that emerges from the growth, but rather keep the eyes fixed on the Guru itself until one gets the amrit (nectar). He said, "If any fear-provoking thought comes up, then tell the thought firmly, 'i am the disciple of my Guru and if you have to frighten, then frighten my Guru. Any worrying thought comes in, say firmly, "i am the disciple of my Guru and if you want to worry, go to my Guru and leave my trail; I will remain in Guru Kripa and I have nothing to do with worry, fear, miseries, and wandering here and there - this is not what I want and if you have anything more to talk, then go to my Guru and talk, leave me alone. Just try and do this and see, changes has to come in life but it is equally important to keep yourself with your commitments with sadhana and you will see that your life has to change. You have to live a truthful life, fulfill your responsibilities and everything has to be good."

Baba reminded, "When lot of your merits accumulate you get this human birth and even more merits you get Guru deeksha. To merge the jeevatma into atma you need Guru, and the atma then merges with the Paramatma; this belief you must sustain always with you. Do sustain the belief that if you are living a truthful life with truthful thoughts, then my life has to be successful. This is the main message I wish to give. Always remain happy, in all circumstances be happy, hold on to truth and with this faith I wish to send you that if you walking the path shown by your Guru and doing the sadhana taught by your Guru, then all your work will be taken care by your Guru. Then do not simply worry by bringing the karta (doer) bhaav. If you bring the karta bhaav, then the Guru will say, 'If you can do it, then let me pull back. So, keep doing karma. Do not worry on what will happen and what not, just keep the faith that success will be yours. Shraddha (faith), bhakti (devotion), vishwas (trust)- bring these three things into your life. Stay clearly off alasya (laziness) and pramaad (carelessness) - I repeat,  Stay clearly off alasya and pramaad - it eats away your sadhana. Work hard but do not worry of the fruits, it will surely come. Do not bring raag-dwesha (like-dislike or attraction-aversion) in your life. Do not pollute yourself but keep yourself as clean and pure as a temple. All good will happen in your life. All disciples will have good welfare."

Babaji ended this beautiful message to all disciples. This Guru Purnima is of 2012 and is a special one. This is the best time we can offer our gratitude to the grace of the Guru in our lives by treating His words and sadhana with total acceptance and trust. Happy Guru Purnima to all!

There is a saying -“Guru Govind Dono Khade, Kisko Lagu Pai, Balihari Gurudev ki Jisne Govind Diyo Batai” which means - If the Guru and the Almighty God appear before you at the same time, whom would you first bow to? Would first bow to the Guru without whose blessings one would not even recognize God.

After a blissful two hours at DLF ashram, Babaji will celebrate Guru Purnima in Mumbai from 5 p.m. IST today (July 2, 2012). Watch this live from your home 5 p.m. onwards on
