The Master takes us to his Tapobhoomi

Image
Beautiful 3 days spent in the land of Rajasthan with the Master.  Every nook and corner we travelled in Lalsot had posters of the shivir at every locations including taxis and markets. One thing i was surprised with was the heights of hospitality in a world where one thinks of so many excuses or shrinks away to even offer someone a glass of water or tea and here are the Rajasthanis, who go beyond anything to serve their guests. All the while i was thinking that the home next to the venue, where we ate food, was a place arranged by people for us as done in other locations we travel to. To my surprise while we sat on the ground and ate our food in the huge compound of this home, i saw many new people walking into this compound inside which sat ladies of the house making rotis. When people walked in, they were asked to sit, paper plates were laid and food was served immediately. The lady making rotis asked all those seated continuously whether they wanted rotis. If it was a yes, she would

Vigna Vinashak (Song)

Long after the wallpaper was made, however, the song played a peppy rhythm in mind and i could find myself swaying within to the rhythm of this song.  Whenever i looked at this image, the song played and i couldn't help but express it in the best way i can express my love for Baba - with music. Thus, this song was born. Initially, thought there is only one line hence it would be short, but then during the making, the pulse of the song become more intense when i tried increasing the tempo from the normal tempo of 95 to 110, then tried increasing to 115 and it became more intense. Wanting more speed with this fantastic rhythm, i increased it to 130 speed and it was a amazing rhythm. At this speed, i thought to add the local kind of street drums towards the end of the song that adds flavor especially to a song of Ganesha and thus with this flavor it would be hard to resist getting up and dancing :) (let me know if you did....lol) and that is what was planned with this numbe

Baba Tere Saath Hai (Song)

On the path of Spirituality as we walk towards our goals to the journey back home, the journey can often be tiring, weary and testing. Whatever the intensity of the difficulties and obstacles may be, it is finally the trust and surrender to the Guru that would help  overcome those temporary obstacles. This song is completely dedicated to my fellow travelers on the path of Shivyog trying to convey the message that Baba is just a call away. It may not happen in a moment but with regular practice and calling with trust, faith and love, one can receive him in any form for anything. This song contains divine words of Babaji in between that surprising just came from different audios but all just fell in place with the theme of the song. The music is deliberately jam packed with orchestra strings, percussion and much of modern electronic techno stuff just to make the song more foot-tapping, palpable and relishing, however, the emotions and intensity of the lyrics and tune remains undisturb

Amazing Grace

This song was written in the 17th century and it even today has the fragrance of the divine connection that Sir John Newton probably had at that time.  This song always enchanted me when i listened to it all through my church days. Back then, only the melody pleased and even when sung, never knew the indepth meaning of it. Today, when the church and temple, Christ and Shiva, God and Guru are all one for me, this song also renders a different meaning for me. More than a passion of wanting to sing this song, as i sung, i realized how similar our life stories are. How similar situations are. How similar this song also is for most of us, especially for those whom the Guru appeared at the time when one was getting lost. The journey is weary. The journey is not easy. But our persistence and love and faith in the Master can make all the difference to the journey. H ere is an effort  with this  beautiful  audio and video,  to re-live my childhood moments, re-live the writer's m

Om Guru Om (Song)

Namah Shivaya.... Today, March 26th is Babaji's birthday, a day which any siddha least bothers about because of the fact that he was never born and he never dies. Even then, this is the day that Baba incarnated on earth for the liberation of so many souls! Baba's  work with his devotees is always silent work, though there is so much communication through the consciousness, which may seldom be realized quickly, due to the struggles of the body, mind, ego formed out of karmic structures. Baba's love and patience with devotees is always cherished in so many forms, and this song is one of the smallest form of that cherishing. i must share that soon after i returned from the Sri Vidya havan in the ashram this month, i returned with lots of things necessary for growth and there was a good amount of release in various forms after that. At the same time there was an expression that seemed to burst forth in my mind in a form of words and as it flowed, i tried to give it a melody
