The Master takes us to his Tapobhoomi

Beautiful 3 days spent in the land of Rajasthan with the Master.  Every nook and corner we travelled in Lalsot had posters of the shivir at every locations including taxis and markets. One thing i was surprised with was the heights of hospitality in a world where one thinks of so many excuses or shrinks away to even offer someone a glass of water or tea and here are the Rajasthanis, who go beyond anything to serve their guests. All the while i was thinking that the home next to the venue, where we ate food, was a place arranged by people for us as done in other locations we travel to. To my surprise while we sat on the ground and ate our food in the huge compound of this home, i saw many new people walking into this compound inside which sat ladies of the house making rotis. When people walked in, they were asked to sit, paper plates were laid and food was served immediately. The lady making rotis asked all those seated continuously whether they wanted rotis. If it was a yes, she would

Aa chal ke tujhe

Babaj often sings this song and is so meaningful.  An attempt with a small video presentation to the song I had sung long back. To a world free from misery, attachments, greed, and what not, Babaji calls,  "Aa chalke tujhe mai leke chaloon......." Chakras, Nadis, Tatwa, Planets

These are notes from Pune Shivir (May, 2009) as told by Babaji and Ishanji Chakras Emotions are generated by hormones by the endocrine glands.  Chakras are placed at the endocrine glands. There are 72,000 nadis that are linked with chakras.  These nadis carry energy to all parts of the body.  Chakras/nadis are in prana sharer.  A set of organs are attached to each chakra which in turn govern those set of organs also. Disease comes in the prana sharer before entering the physical body. Chakras govern the rajasic, tamasic and satvik gunas. After one overcomes desire, ego emerges.  Once desire ( lust ) and ego is conquered, then emerges anger. Desire = Mooladhara Ego = Manipura Anger = Agnya THE MOOLADHARA CHAKRA (4 petals) (Mool = root + Adhara = Strength, firmness, moolprakrithi – survival instincts, struggle) Basic emotion is fear.  Fear gives  rise to enormous strength. Rise of kundalini brings up survival instinct. The

Kama (lust)

Oops! One topic that is always restricted and shut down deep within but still which is battled every now and then. Lust becomes one of the greatest obstacle for a spiritual aspirant and more difficult because one cannot discuss this openly as we discuss other spiritual matters with each other or in forums.  Now, I am not an expert in this subject but know that I am one amongst you. This is an in-depth subject and I am only expressing a normal layman view just trying to help you know that noone is alone in this. Let me become the book and let me become the reader here :) Lust is one of the greatest obstacle in spirituality as this is the same precious energy that is used up for spiritual progress. In lust the lower chakras are more dominant. It flows from swadisthan and below.  In lust the energy always flows down to the sexual organs and that provokes the release of that energy though different acts. Babaji often mentions the difference between love and lust.  He says lust is experien

Music plays such an important role in spirituality. Music that is made of vibration. We can trace back life or creation also to vibration - to sound - the OM (Aum). What provokes me to write this article is the recent videos I saw on westerners creating and singing bhajans or chanting them so beautifully. Also a video that was posted by Preet which showed a child looking at the picture of Yogananda Paramahamsa and singing. It is such a beautiful connection. For me, music has always played a great role in "connecting". I say this with experience in producing music, creating tunes, singing, playing instruments, etc. I never knew that it could be so connecting because I always had this craving since childhood for music. I always played or sung for music groups just for the passion I had for music. It was only after I came in touch with babaji  that I learnt many many things including the music connection. I also realized a very important thing. All my life, I have seen the mus

Quality of Sadhana

What are the type of sadhana that I must do for my problem/disease/issue. Babaji mentions that there are two types of sadhana: 1.   Sakam Sadhana :  This is when the sadhak has an intention or desire or focus on one remedy or solution. For example, a sadhak wants to cure an ailment and with the intent to cure that sadhana the sadhak does sadhana.  In this sadhana, the once the remedy or solution or result is achieved every punya balance comes to zero since the intention was on achieving results for that particular ailment.  Then the sadhak does another sakaam sadhana focusing on what is wanted next. Here, the results are very limited since the sadhana keeps working only for that desired results (the cause of which could be multiple). The causes may be even interlinked to so many other issues in life. 2.    Nishkam Sadhana :  This is when a sadhak has no particular intention but just does sadhana sincerely. Slowly, little by little all the karmic factors start dissolving, which in t
